D&D Rogue Backstory Generator using AI

December 24, 2020 By Paul Bellow

Spread the love

Earlier this year, despite everything else going on (or perhaps because of everything going on in the world), I put together a D&D Rogue backstory generator. Yes, I was given access to the most powerful NLG AI in the world currently, and I decided to teach it Dungeons and Dragons. Yes, big nerd here.

The tool I created is the LitRPG Adventures Workshop. You can use it to automatically generate, character backstories, undead deathstories, magic items, spells, skills, dungeons, overland locations, cities, taverns, magic shops and more. You click a few choices, press a button, and get your backstory.

You can choose a rogue for the character backstory generator. There’s over two dozen different races you can choose as well. No matter the type of rogue you want to play, you’re going to find something. You can narrow it down by choosing assassin or thief, but you can also go with a generic rogue.

The LitRPG Adventures Workshop is powered by the GPT-3 API. Basically, GPT-3 is the most advanced natural language generator in the world. It’s trained on thousands of fantasy books, and it can understand the structure of a fantasy novel. GPT-3 is so powerful, that it uses thousands of different AI systems to generate different types of text. It generates entire short stories by itself!

I’ve always been a D&D player, and I’ve also been into computer games for a long time. When I thought about writing an AI that could automatically generate a D&D character backstory, I tried to combine the two. You can use the generator to generate a whole story for you, and then you can use that story as the framework for the character you want to play in your next adventure.

I'm using GPT-3 AI for Dungeons & Dragons RPG content.

Come check out the LitRPG Adventures Workshop AI-powered generators today and join our growing community! Generate or browse creatures, characters, quests, spells, governments, warlock patrons, skills, dungeons, undead, and more!

I hope you enjoy it, and I hope you’ll sign up to get the AI-powered character backstory generator, and a whole bunch of other good stuff when you join the LitRPG Adventures Workshop.

For example, you will gain access to the thousands of pieces of content already created with LitRPG Adventures Workshop. It’s free to browse literally hundreds of rogue character backstories.

Whether you’re an author or a tabletop gamer, the rogue backstory generator I’ve built is going to give you a lot of great fantasy stories and character backgrounds to work with.

And for those of you who are tabletop gamers (or play D&D), there are also a ton of things you can use it for. The generator has a lot of different options.

For example, you can pick a specific race for your rogue. If your character becomes undead, there’s a generator that will create a story on how they died and how they became undead.

In total, there’s fourteen different fantasy RPG generators online with more coming soon. You can read a few rogue character backstories on this site or you can go create your own right now.

Either way, the LitRPG Adventures Workshop is sure to become a vital tool for all types of gamers in the years ahead.

If you want to make your DM happy, but him or her the D&d Character Backstory Generator today!

Artificial Intelligence is already being used in many different ways to enhance the tabletop roleplaying experience. This will only increase in the future.

When you sign up, you’ll also get a free selection of stories, character backstories, and magic items. It’s a sample of the many different types of content you can create within the LitRPG Adventures Workshop. I hope you enjoy it. Here’s the link to sign up today.

If you want to learn more about how I put together a D&D Rogue Backstory Generator, feel free to leave a comment below. I can’t promise I will have the time to answer your questions, but there’s a possibility I might. I’m busy working on further enhancements for my D&D rogue backstory generator, so I hope you understand.

That’s all for now and I wish you all the best.
