Playing D&D Online
There are a lot of online platforms you can play D&D on. If you’re new to D&D, you should stick to playing online so you can learn the ropes before you play with a live group.
1 – Roll20!
The first place I recommend you go to play Dungeons and Dragons online is Roll20. It’s one of the most popular online platforms for playing D&D. And the best part? It’s free!
Roll20 is a great place to find other Dungeons and Dragons players and start playing.
2 – Fantasy Grounds
If you’re looking for something a little more powerful, Fantasy Grounds is a great place to play.
Fantasy Grounds is perfect for playing with more than five players online.
If you’re looking to play with a large group (5-7+ players), I recommend going with Fantasy Grounds. You can purchase it here.
Fantasy Grounds is a very powerful program that’s going to allow you to play Dungeons and Dragons like a real game master. If you’re looking to get into online D&D, I would definitely recommend this platform.
Looking for Group
While that’s typically an MMORPG term (LFG), it can apply to tabletop role-playing too!
Luckily, the internet makes it easier than it was when Dungeons & Dragons first came out.
Finding other players was difficult in the 1970s and 1970s most of the time.
Today, all you need to do it type in “Looking for D&D Group” into your search engine of choice.
Type “Looking for D&D group in MYCITY” if you want local players.
You’ll find groups that are looking for players.
You can even find groups online that are specifically looking for new players.
I’ve found a few groups online that were specifically looking to recruit new players, and I’ve joined them.
You can find a group online that’s specifically looking for new players.
It’s a great way to get started and learn the ropes.
Dungeons and Dragons Etiquette
If you’re looking for a way to play Dungeons and Dragons online or off, I’ve got a few suggestions for you.
Being a good player goes a long way in making sure the entire group has fun. This can be difficult – especially if you have a large group.

4 – Don’t be a show-off
If you’re playing online, you can be a show-off.
If you’re playing in person, you can’t.

This rule is to remember that not everyone might find your humor funny!
Be considerate to other people who are playing in your group.
This is crucial for a good Dungeons and Dragons session.
6 – Don’t be a munchkin
A munchkin is someone who abuses the rules to their advantage.
If you’re playing online, you can be a munchkin.
If you’re playing in person, you can’t.
Okay, okay, I’m just kidding! In all seriousness, if you’re going to be a munchkin, tell the DM, and they’ll tell you what to do.
