Are you looking for a DnD character avatar creator? I don’t have permission to release one yet, but I’m working on adding it to LitRPG Adventures where we have over two dozen advanced RPG generators powered by GPT-3 from OpenAI.
While OpenAI hasn’t given anyone permission to use the images commercially yet, I wanted to share some of my early tests. Hopefully, in the future, I’ll be able to add this as a feature to LitRPG Adventures – or put together just an avatar generator.
UPDATE: November 4, 2022… OpenAI has unleashed DALLE2 API access, and I’m putting together some tools. Stay tuned for more!
The D&D character avatar paintings above are cool, I agree, but OpenAI is now allowing realistic faces. Check out these character avatars for Dungeons & Dragons or other fantasy TTRPGs.
As I mentioned, we’re not permitted to use the output for anything commercial yet, but I’m working on getting permission to add this capability to LitRPG Adventures where we already use GPT-3 to generate outstanding character backstories, spells, NPCs, monsters, and more.
The ability to add detailed character avatar portraits for D&D, Pathfinder, and other RPG systems will be very cool. I know there’s a few avatar generators already available, but DALLE-2 is very powerful and is going to improve the quality for everyone. Stay tuned and wish me luck as I work to become one of the first to integrate DALLE-2 with my D&D character backstory generator.
